*** Ground Floor (Mages' Guild)
Fiana is half dozing in the comfortable chair, a pile of robes on the floor next to her.
Jhenna ascends, closing the trapdoor behind her. "Lady Fiana..." Her face is caught by a transcendent smile. "You're back."
Fiana raises her head, blinking herself to consciousness, "Mmh, goodness."
Jhenna curtsies deeply. "It's marvellous to see you again."
Fiana rises from her chair, straightening her (currently bell-less) skirts with a quick brush of her hands. She inclines her head in greeting, "Jhenna. It's good to be back." The normal warmth is a bit subdued, but not entirely gone, "I hear you've been... keeping things in order."
Cat-green eyes regard you evenly, despite the deference of her tone. "Aye, Lady Fiana, I have been. But I am glad to see you back." [Jhenna]
Fiana takes a deep breath, "Well... the Tower is still standing, so you must have kept things relatively well controlled. I do hope there weren't too many problems."
You say, "Have you always had trouble with Edmund and Mescalito?"
Fiana's lips quirk in a mildly amused smile, "Unfortunately, yes. I've had to separate those two more than once." She sighs, "I do hope they can eventually grow out of their differences. It would be much better for all of us."
Golden lashes flicker over her eyes. "And I'm not certain that Edmund is overfond of me to begin with...he's had some...difficulties with my background." [Jhenna]
Fiana tilts her head slightly to one side, commenting, "I hardly remember how you joined us here, Jhenna... it must have been some time ago."
Jhenna's lips flicker in a small, serene smile. "I came without your invitation, Lady Fiana."
Fiana looks ever so mildly flustered, "Well and good, I suppose. I had thought the Tower better hidden than that."
You say, "Not to Her."
Fiana purses her lips slightly, "I assume you mean one of the Three."
Jhenna nods, eyes sparkling slightly with a hint of rare emotion. "My Lady."
Fiana nods quietly, "She visited me once, recently. Odd what an interest she's taken in the Tower's business."
Jhenna says calmly "I am a creation of hers, Lady Fiana."
Fiana says, "Some would say we all are, Jhenna."
Jhenna smiles. "Most were not directly created."
Fiana arches an ivory brow, "You say you were formed by Life herself."
Jhenna nods with a flicker of amusement. "In response to the challenge of an impudent mage."
Fiana frowns faintly, "Really. Who?"
You say, "Azaroth."
Fiana blinks, caught off guard by this response, "Azaroth? I would hardly have called him 'impudent'... he has always been one of the more... agreeable of the group!"
Jhenna grins faintly, eyes sparkling. "My Lady has...differing opinions of what makes a man impudent than yourself. In any case, he seems to have taken off to study for himself. But he challenged Her to create a full-fledged person, to prove her divinity..."
Fiana's lips draw down in an even deeper frown, "He's taken off on his own. Most unfortunate. And I suppose very silly of him to challenge a God."
Jhenna gives you a cat-eyed glance. "There is at least one new member of the Tower, however...although I don't believe he's moved into the dorms."
Fiana says, "Truly? Arrived while I was gone?"
Jhenna nods. "I found him in the woods."
Fiana mmphs in disbelief, "In the woods? Around here, you mean?"
You say, "Well...not far. He was seeking the Tower. He has a gift for magic...and a good heart.""
Fiana nods, "Well, he's quite welcome here, then. Any willing to put forth the effort to learn is quite welcome."
Jhenna smiles. "His name is Andrique." She tilts her head. "Is there anything else you wish to know, Lady Fiana?"
Fiana says, "Andrique. You say he hasn't moved in yet. Where is he, then?"
Jhenna gestures out toward the wood. "Somewhere out there...he has been stopping by occasionally."
Fiana nods quietly, "I shall have to hunt him down, I suppose."
Fiana . o O ( perhaps -he- could help me learn the area a bit better. )
Jhenna inclines her head. "I've put aside what herbs I could gather around here in your absence...there are some I'm not familiar with in the ruined castle, though."
Fiana's ears would perk up, had she been a cat. Instead, an intense look of curiosity crosses her face, "... the ruined castle?"
Jhenna nods, an inquisitive expression crossing her face. "Not far from the lamppost, where the wood changes away from the evergreens, is a cluster of trees over an old broken road. Follow it."
Fiana mhs, "Edmund was right. I really should get out more. I spend much too much time hidden away in this Tower." She shakes her head with a light laugh, "I hardly know the forest."
Jhenna smiles slightly, her eyes brightening. "Perhaps, my lady, you could come with me to gather the spring plants in the morning."
Fiana glances at you curiously, then, after a moment, nods, "Certainly. That could be a most exciting adventure."
Jhenna curtsies. "I'll leave you to your duties, then...there is a vine calling me downstairs."
Fiana chuckles softly, nodding, "Jhenna... thank you."
Jhenna smiles quietly. "I serve you and my Lady, Lady Fiana. I do what I may." She turns and disappears through the trapdoor.
