Classes:

Classes are optional character enhancements that you may or may not choose to apply. All players begin with a class of "Commoner", which has no abilities and no complicated things to put points into. Commoners, after all, are essential to a world. During Character Generation, however, you may choose not to be a commoner, if you so desire. Certain classes may be chosen right off the bat, while others must be approved by the GM's before you can access them.

If you choose a class, it will appear on your character sheet (see @sheet) as a series of four items:

The Base Skill is the first number on the list. This determines your ability to perform class-related actions.
The Spheres represent differing areas of specialty in each class. Each sphere awards different abilities and bonuses, depending on how much you have spent in that sphere.

You have 15 class points to divide among your base skill and your three spheres, with a maximum of 10 in the base skill and 5 in each sphere. It is up to you to balance your ability with the variety of your options. Class points must be trained (see Training) from your class pool into the base skill and spheres; they may also be trained from one sphere to another, from base skill to spheres, or from spheres to the base skill.

Multiclassing:

If you desire to have more than one class, you must have GM-approval. For your second class, you will get 5 additional class points. These may be used for any class skill or sphere, and points may be trained between classes. However, you may not have more than 15 points in any one class. Your Primary Class is the class you have more points in; it is used to calculate your hit points and your essence. If you have the same number of points in both classes, the class you had first is your Primary Class.

You do not receive additional class points for classes beyond the second.
