How to enter Arcana

For the initiated: Arcana is located at mistwalker.org, port 7777

Connecting to a MOO can be a frustrating experience, if you're using plain old Windows Telnet. Many people prefer to use a client instead. Arcana staff have several different clients that they've used to connect. For your convenience, we've provided links to a few of them here:

If you just can't get a Telnet window to open on your particular machine, and you can't download software to it, try our Java connect.

Zmud (http://www.zuggsoft.com): You can buy a copy of Zmud from Zuggsoft (version 6.x) and get all the latest features, or you can download their free, unsupported client (version 3.62), which is stable and works well. To find 3.62, go to the downloads menu at the top and click on Zmud. All the way near the bottom of the page is the link.

Gmud: another commonly-used program. This one's shareware, although the homepage seems to have vanished. You can get it here.

SimpleMU: Another Windows-based client with a free, unlimited-time evaluation.

TinyFugue: quick and easy for Linux or another good one for Windows. Available here.
